GENERAL SURGERY
Héctor Calvo, MD earned his medical degree in 1970 from the University of Nuevo Leon Medical School. He completed his residency work at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas between July 1972 and June 1976. In his 30 years of practice as a physician, Dr. Calvo has completed courses dealing with Laparoscopic surgery at San Antonio, Texas, the Tucson Medical Center in Arizona, and at Texas University in Houston. He studied Vascular and General Surgery Actualizations at Harvard University in 1992. Dr. Calvo has also completed numerous courses in vascular surgery and oncology courses at San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Calvo is a member of the Surgeons College of Nuevo Leon, the Texas Medical Society, the Emergency Society of Nuevo Leon and has been a member of the American General Surgery Society since 1999, and the American Medical Association, since 1976. He has been licensed to practice in the U.S. since 1975.
Dr. Calvo is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been a General Surgery professor at ISSSTE Hospital in Mexico and a General surgery professor at the ITESM School of Medicine, also located in Mexico, since 1978.
