Dr. Gabriel A. Peralta's interest in cosmetic surgery began during his third year in medical school at the Escuela Colombiana de Medicina in Bogota. While training under some of the world's preeminent cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Peralta developed an ethic, scholarship and patient service that is rare among even elite surgeons today.

Because it is critical to Dr. Gabriel Peralta to give each client and case his full concentration and individualized attention, Dr. Peralta performs just one surgery a day.

When Dr. Peralta graduated from medical school in 1991 he successfully sat for exam before the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) - American Board of Medicine and the Federal Licensing Examination - Pennsylvania (FLEX). From 1992 to 1993, Dr. Peralta taught Anatomy at the Medical and Dental schools of the Universidad El Bosque (formerly, Escuela Colombiana de Medicina).

Thereafter, Dr. Peralta received postgraduate training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Costa Rica from 1994 to 1998. In 1999, Dr. Peralta traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico for a one-year fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery with Dr. Jose Guerrero-Santos and Dr. Rafael Vergara Calleros, after which he started his private practice in Costa Rica.

Since 2000, when Dr. Peralta began his private practice, he has performed approximately 300 surgeries every year.

In 2001, Dr. Peralta was certified and joined the Physicians and Surgeons College of Costa Rica. Two years later, in 2003, Dr. Peralta completed a fellowship at the Esthetique International Surgery Center of John Hopkins Medical School.

To continue to hone his skills and stay up to date with the most innovative techniques, twice each year Dr. Peralta travels to exchange experience and participate in surgery with several of the most famous plastic surgeons in North America such as:
